Show Hours: 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Activity Schedule:

8:00 am - Registration Opens
9:00 am - Registration Closes
10:00 am - Show Opens to Spectators.

There is no day of show registration for Ponies and Snakes 2024.
Where cars displayed differ from cars registered, alternative cars will be placed in the Display Only Class unless the registration team is notified of changes fourteen (14) days in advance of the show.
Cars must be in place no later than 9:00 a.m. Any unclaimed spots will be reallocated after this time.

Ponies & Snakes Show Information

Ponies & Snakes is a Judged Car Show.

Awards will be presented for the following:

Top point-scoring cars in each class - see below for list of classes.

Kids Choice Award - awarded to the outstanding car as decreed by under-16's attending the show.

Point Scoring Criteria:

All cars will be judged according to workmanship, cleanliness and condition only.

Make sure your car is ready for judging by having it in its best condition, as clean as you can get it, and with top notch workmanship.

We will be using a judging sheet weighted similarly to MCA standards for interior, exterior, and engine compartment only.

We will not judge the undercarriage or the trunk.

A member of our team of knowledgeable and impartial judges will be judging your car.

You do not have to be with your car at the time it is judged. However, you need to leave the hood up and the windows rolled down. Convertible tops may be up or down.

Cars will be classified will be as follows:

Cars will be classed exclusively by year of manufacture - stock, modified, specialty editions and under-construction cars will be grouped together. Remember, we are judging cars according to levels of workmanship, cleanliness and condition only.

All folk under 16 attending Ponies and Snakes are invited to participate in voting for their favorite car in the show. The Kid's Choice Award is presented to the winning car.

In the event of low numbers of cars entered in a particular class, some classes may be combined at the discretion of the show Judging Committee.

How early can I park?

Please do not arrive before 7:30 a.m. as we have much set-up to do. We will start parking at 7:30 a.m.

Can I park with my friends?

Only if you arrive together. Parking is first come, first served. There will be no saving spaces and no preferential parking.

Can I bring my trailer onto the show field to load/unload my car?

No. Trailers are not permitted on the show field at any time. This includes before, during and after the show. Space for trailer parking and unloading is located adjacent to the show field.

What about display stands?

We are not allowing displays of any kind at this show. Please do not have signs, easels, umbrellas, billboards, or other items on the ground or around the cars that people might trip on; no audio systems are allowed to be used during the show.

When will I get my confirmation?

We will be handling registration exclusively online. Payments will be processed through PayPal (preferred) or by mailed in checks. As part of the process you will receive an instantaneous email confirmation, which you should bring to the show; soft copies are perfectly acceptable. There will be no antiquated mail-in registrations.

Can I register the day of the show?

No. Ponies and Snakes is always an advanced SELL OUT! There is no day of show registration.

Can I bring a different car to the one I registered?

Yes. If you let us know fourteen (14) days ahead of the show, we will ensure that your alternative car is judged in the appropriate class. Changes less than fourteen (14) days before the show will result in in your alternative car being placed in the Display Only class.

Can I get a refund?

No, this is a rain or shine show; there are no refunds.

Can I show my Cushman?

No, this is a Mustang & Ford-powered Cobra show only. It is great that you have a Cushman but please leave it in the parking lot outside the show. We regularly reject registration applications from cars that do not comply with these strict criteria.
